Company History
Humble Beginnings – “While we read history, we make history” — George William Curtis
1972
Stanley L. Meek was a progressive consultant at this time, offering his services to a struggling Sheet Metal Manufacturing company with a small customer base in the GTA.
1981
Don Park became a sole proprietorship to grow the business. Stanley L. Meek became a business partner to a sole owner. The acquisition of Talarico Ltd. & Brunt Manufacturing occurred. The amalgamation of the two companies & Don Park allowed for the expansion of product base to include pipe, duct, fittings, and B-vents.
1984
Don Park grew even further in 1984 by acquiring Rexway Sheet Metal and introducing its industrial fabrication line.
2005
After 33 years of well-timed, intelligent business decisions, President & Chief Executive Officer Stanley L. Meek restructured his fully incorporated business into a limited partnership with investments by Terravest Industries. The company now has a better handle on the future and strengthened its core competencies – providing great customer service, quality products, and competitive prices.
2007
President & CEO Stanley L. Meek, in turn, appointed a new successor – Peter Olierook. Under the new presidency, the immediate project is a renewed mission to “Focus On The Customer – One Company, One Team.” This year is about a total company effort of fully servicing customers and strengthening existing operations – for which Don Park recognized its success.
2010
Thirty-eight years later, Noble Trade acquired Don Park from Terravest Industries, which led to the creation of a new HVAC division – Plumbing. Additionally, by March, the manufacturing division launched three new products; a low-profile airtight take-off, an aluminum drain pan for water heaters, and a new airtight round pipe.
2014
A year after, New Brunswick entrepreneur Normand Caissie acquires Don Park Residential Manufacturing Group. IMG is a leading manufacturer of air distribution and building products. The integration of the two companies put them in a great position to access HVAC wholesale market in North America.
2015
Don Park relocates to a new facility in Scarborough, Ontario.
